WHEN Allisen Longwood first started kicking around in American football it was more about glam, than slam.
During a short-lived stint with the Ladies Gridiron League, Longwood would play in a full face of make-up. Her uniform was little more than hot pants and a crop top and nobody would pick up the pigskin without first getting a spray tan.
These days the 27-yearold plays fully kitted up for Noranda-based Perth Broncos American Football Club and is helping them gear up for the pre-season.
